Ventura’s Michael O’Kelly has submitted a short film about science fiction legend Ray Bradbury to the inaugural Your Film Festival.

Titled “Live Forever,” the 15-minute docudrama is described as “an inspiring, emotional and humorous odyssey illustrating Bradbury’s life and creative process.”

The 91-year-old Bradbury, author of such iconic books as “The Martian Chronicles,” “The Illustrated Man,” “Fahrenheit 451″ and “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” has worked with O’Kelly on the project for the past three years.

The film begins with Bradbury’s birth in 1920, traces his influence on the golden age of science fiction, explores his work with Walt and Roy Disney, and delves into his views on space, the future of mankind and death.

Featured is a mix of new interviews, vintage footage and original animation by O’Kelly’s co-producer, Christopher “Moonlight” Cooksey.
