Ray Liotta back on the force for ‘Pines’

EXCLUSIVE: Ray Liotta is pinning the badge back on for “A Place Beyond the Pines,” starring opposite Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper as a corrupt police officer.
Pic follows around a pro motorcycle rider (Gosling) who starts robbing banks to support his newborn son — until he crosses paths with a determined young cop (Cooper). Liotta will play a fierce, crooked officer on the force. Derek Cianfrance will direct “Pines” from a script he co-wrote with Ben Coccio. Sidney Kimmel, Jamie Patricof, Lynette Howell and Alex Orlovsky will produce. Liotta, who’s repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment, recently wrapped production on “Cogan’s Trade” starring Brad Pitt. The “Goodfellas” thesp has taken more than 10 cop or detective roles over his career, including “Unlawful Entry,” “Cop Land,” “Narc,” “Smokin’ Aces,” “Observe and Report,” “Hannibal,” “John Q,” “Hero Wanted,” “The River Sorrow” and most recently, “Date Night.”Similar Posts:
