ATLANTA – Atlanta-based rapper T.I. has been released one month early from a U.S. prison, where he was serving a weapons violation sentence.

Bureau of Prisons spokesman Chris Burke said the artist, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was released Wednesday morning from the Forrest City low-security prison in Arkansas.

The rapper was sentenced to 11 months in prison in October for breaking his federal probation after he was arrested in Los Angeles on drug charges. He was set to be released at the end of September, but prison authorities released him a month early.

His attorney, Jonathan Leonard, confirmed T.I.

LOGANVILLE, GA– This week I was sent to cover a water-main break in Gwinnett County.

It left dozens of homes without power or running water.

I did what I would normally do on any breaking news story- grabbed my camera and rushed to Loganville.

Little did I know, I’d find a story within the story once I arrived.

Children from the Hope Center had collected more than 4,000 bottles of water.

They then went door to door until they reached every home in the Gwinnett Estates mobile home park.

“I was really happy every time I saw a person smile,” said Brenda Vasquez.

The Syfy channel’s hit show Haven has been quite a success, especially considering that it can be a daunting task to put a Stephen King-based property on the small screen. We recently got to chat with Haven star Emily Rose, who plays Audrey Parker during a conference call. Rose spoke about working in a genre show, the evolution of her character and kissing Jason Priestly. Oh, there was no way to avoid asking about that!

Newsarama: I remember you from the Jericho series on CBS and I wanted to know, that was a little bit sci-fi too.

Ah, the Kardashians. No one exactly knows why the family is famous, and for the most part, no one cares. This past weekend, Kim Kardashian confirmed her celebrity during her lavish and star-studded wedding, an event loosely dubbed the Royal Wedding of Hollywood. Lindsay Lohan, who attended the nuptials, donned a white gown in keeping with the black and white-themed event.

More startling than Lindsay’s plunging neckline and blatant disregard for proper tanning techniques, however, is the familiarity of the Alice Temperley gown she is posing in. Full Article…

ROME – Madonna’s film about King Edward VIII’s relationship with an American divorcee and Roman Polanski’s “Carnage” are set to be among highlights at the 2011 Venice film festival.

Twenty-one films will vie for the top Golden Lion award at the 68th edition of the world’s oldest film festival, which runs from Aug 31 to Sept 10 this year on the Lido seafront.

Madonna’s directorial debut on a feature film, “W.E”, is a drama that compares a modern day relationship with the controversial love between the king and divorced American Wallis Simpson, and will screen out of competition.

The king abdicated in 1936 in order to marry Simpson.

French-Polish director Polanski’s latest film is an adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s hit play “God of Carnage” and stars Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster.

Other highlights include Tomas Alfredson’s adaptation of John Le Carre’s Cold War thriller “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” and David Cronenberg’s hotly anticipated psychological drama “A Dangerous Method” starring Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen.

British director Andrea Arnold’s remake of Emily Bronte’s “Wuthering Heights” and Ami Canaan Mann’s “Texas Killing Fields” starring Sam Worthington, also feature in the lineup for the festival, which often serves as a launching pad for the Oscars.

Organizers earlier announced that George Clooney’s “The Ides of March” about the U.S.
