New York Fashion Week always draws the best and brightest of celebrities and socialites alike. Scoping out the front row is half the fun of attending shows for me, and this season has been no exception.

Sure, there were the usual suspects: the Manhattan socialites, the Vogue editors you keep your eyes glued to at all times to see how they react, and the “IT” girls du jour — like Vampire Diaries‘ Nina Dobrev and former The City star, Olivia Palermo.

LILBURN, Ga. — Gen. Beauregard Lee, Georgia’s famous groundhog, waddled out of his “Weathering Heights” mansion and failed to see his shadow in the red Georgia dirt.

The development bodes well for warm weather — no shadow means an early spring, hundreds of spectators were told as the prediction was made at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Beau’s caretakers at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Lilburn say he has a 94 percent accuracy rating, giving him a better record than Punxsutawney Phil, his Pennsylvania counterpart.

The ranch says that every year on Feb.

VILLA RICA, GA — Hannah Chaney only considers herself an average cook. But she still enjoys whipping up special treats for her three year-old son.

“Pretty much anything, cupcakes, cake,” she said, “you know – any kind of treats really.”

Bake Pop claims it can help anyone easily make and enjoy the hot, new sensation – the cake pop. It sells for $20 on-line and in stores.

“They seem pretty creative, kind of fun,” Hannah said.

The directions look kind of involved but she agrees to give it a shot.

You can use any cake mix but they recommend you throw in an extra egg and a box of pudding mix. That makes the batter very thick.
